Kepala Korps Lalu Lintas (Kakorlantas) Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, accompanied by Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi and President Director of Jasa Raharja Rivan Purwantono, inspected the annual exodus post-Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) on the Trans Java Toll Road to ensure smooth traffic flow. Various measures have been taken to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers returning from their hometowns.
Key Points:
-
Current Traffic Control: As of now, the traffic flow control, including local one-way systems to manage the vehicle congestion towards Jakarta, is deemed effective. The peak of the return flow is predicted to occur on Sunday (April 6th).
-
Strategic Actions: The police, under the leadership of Korlantas, have implemented strategic measures to anticipate the increased traffic volume. This includes one-way traffic arrangements from kilometer 70 to 36 and opening lane 2 for one-way traffic in Cikampek. Tomorrow, a national one-way traffic flow from 414 Kalikangkung to Jakarta will be enforced.
-
Minister’s Observation: Minister Dudy Purwagandhi noted that the return flow was still smooth until the evening. The upcoming national one-way traffic plan is expected to further alleviate the traffic density towards Jakarta.
These efforts, overseen by high-ranking officials such as the Minister of Transportation and the National Police Chief, aim to prevent congestion and ensure a safe journey for those returning to the cities after celebrating Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns.
